MATERIAL SOURCING
Limestone mainly composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO3)
This material is existing in all over the world and causes fewer greenhouse gas emissions than petroleum-based plastics.
MATERIAL PRODUCTION
More than 50%(weight ratio) of LIMEX is inorganic substances such as calcium carbonate derived from limestone, and the remainder is thermoplastic resin and various additives.
Compared to petroleum-derived plastics, limestone can reduce CO2 emissions at the raw material procurement stage to about 1/50, and can reduce CO2 emissions during combustion by about 58%.
PACKAGING PRODUCTION
LIMEX can be used for extrusion molding and inflation molding. Below bottle and jar including cap is made from LIMEX. No need additional cost for exclusive mold tooling, nearly all stock model is available to produce (Normally mold of PP, ABS component can be produced with LIMEX directly) Packaging made from limestone material can be claimed to up to 50% plastic usage reduction.
LIMEX can be recycled in the same way as products designed with as single material.
CASE IN MARKET
Successful case in market can be reliable reference of sustainability concept of this material.
